I had lunch there while walking around Kambara-juku. The local Shizuoka sakura shrimp kakiage bowl and mini tempura bowl were very delicious. I arrived just before noon, so I was able to be seated right away, but the person who came after me had to wait a while before being shown to a table. It gets crowded during lunch, so I think it's better to go a little later. There were many female customers, and many of them were eating gozen. The male customer was being eaten with eel. Eel is delicious. The restaurant has counter seats, table seats, and semi-private rooms, and the interior is clean and comfortable. It was the best. The space between the tables is a little narrow, so if you have large luggage, hooks are provided so you can hang it on the wall. It seemed like they were letting customers in a little more relaxedly, perhaps as a precaution against infection. Even though there were only two of us, we were guided to a four-person seat, so we were able to enjoy a very relaxing meal. Also, since Shizuoka Prefecture is the home of tea, the hot tea served during the meal was delicious.
I ordered the Kanbara Gozen, a set of sakura shrimp kakiage and eel bowl, and two bottles of local Kanbara craft beer. The price is high, but the quality is good, and considering the content, it feels cheap. In particular, the sakura shrimp kakiage was excellent. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is that of a high-end Japanese restaurant (there is a feeling that the seats are too crowded). A recommended shop when you visit Kanbara.
