Even in Shizuoka Prefecture, the taste tends to be bland as you go further west, making it a bit unsatisfactory for people living north of Kanto. The flavor here is strong and satisfying, and you can even eat rice as a side dish with ramen. Nowadays, more and more restaurants are selling ramen for over 1,000 yen, so getting ramen, rice, and fried pepper meat (changes daily) for 830 yen is a real bargain! (Price as of 2023) I think the signature gyoza was a little sweetly grilled.
