Izunokuni, Shizuoka, Japan｜Daikanyashiki

I am very happy have discovered this gem. We often stay nearby and have passed by the sign for this restaurant menu times on the way to and from the shops in Kannami. The other day we decided to pop in. The atmosphere is captivating and the gift shop is amusing and somehow adds to the anticipation. I had unagi and it was perfect: hot, light and tasty with excellent broth enhancing the bed of rice. My wife had tempura which she enjoyed so much that we returned a soon as we could to sample more of the food. The standard wa maintained, the service is friendly and helpful, and the building is spacious, clean and attractive. We shall be back!

Stir-fried eel, meat, sakura shrimp, etc. Everything was delicious. The soba noodles were also very delicious. The atmosphere of the shop is calm. You can also see Mt. Fuji in the back of the garden, which is great

The tempura, eel, meat, and soba were all delicious and a bit of luxury. Pets are allowed on the terrace seats, which was nice.
