More Comments at Google MapI've been passing by the store often for about three years, but it's always early or late, so I can't quite match the store's business hours. Today, at about 10:50, the proprietress was preparing to open the store, so I had to wait. Apparently, it has been around for 35 years, and there were several other soba restaurants in the area, but Azusa seems to be the only one left. I ordered the full set oyakodon and tanuki soba. While we were waiting, regular customers kept coming to the store. It seems like a restaurant where regulars gather, but it's very comfortable. There are counter seats inside the store and table seats outside. An elderly couple who came later sat at a table outside, and we talked for a bit, but they seemed to be regulars who come here often.
A soba restaurant on Route 136 in Kannami-cho. Kake soba is reasonably priced from 400 yen. The Manpuku Set is a good value for 750 yen, and you can choose from 3 bowls: Kakiage Don, Curry, and Oyakodon. Recommended dishes include sakura shrimp tempura soba and nameko grated udon. It is delicious.
Visited for lunch. I ordered the shop's recommended sakura shrimp tempura soba. There weren't many cherry shrimp, but it was delicious and I could enjoy the flavor well. When I asked for Inari, I started making it after ordering instead of making it ahead of time. It didn't take long and was well cooked. After ordering soba, I noticed that Inaniwa udon was also on the menu, so I wanted to order it next time. When I asked if other customers could order curry rice instead of cutlet curry, they answered yes. However, the owner said it was so spicy that he couldn't eat it.
