I boarded the bus from the bus stop near Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha Shrine and arrived at 11am on Sunday. There were 7 groups in line in front of us, we wrote our names on a piece of paper at the front of the store and waited to be called. In addition to the benches in front of the store, there were also tables and chairs at the back of the parking lot next to the store. The latter also had an ashtray. After that, I was able to enter the store after 12 o'clock. By this time, the lines at the store were longer. I was seated in front of the iron plate and ordered Gomoku Shigure-yaki (large) 900 yen and draft beer (medium) 600 yen. The draft beer is from Shizuoka Beer. Yakisoba and Shigure-yaki are cooked on the iron plate right in front of you. Shigure-yaki seems to take a little time, and while the Shigure-yaki I ordered was being cooked on the iron plate, the yakisoba of the people who ordered later was completed. The reason I was able to see these things was because the food was being cooked right in front of me, which whet my appetite. Just before the dish is finished, you will be asked the type of sauce (sweet or dry). I asked for the sweet version (the dry one apparently has a refreshing taste. I'd like to try the dry one next time). Yakisoba is served on a plate even when seated in front of the iron plate, but Shigure-yaki was served by cutting it yourself from the iron plate (the iron plate was thoroughly cleaned when customers left). It had a good taste, was filling, and wasn't heavy at all, so it was just delicious. You'll want to try other menu items as soon as you leave the restaurant. The staff's service and the atmosphere of the store are very good. By the way, there are several ways to get there by bus from Fujinomiya Station or Nishi-Fujinomiya Station, but they are infrequent and the times seem to be uneven. The route displayed will vary depending on the app you use, so please be careful when walking or using public transportation.

A long trip around Mt. Fuji from Aichi Gamagori. I have eaten Fujinomiya Yakisoba many times at food stalls at events. For the first time in my life, my long-awaited dream came true and I tried it in the real place. While visiting Sengen Taisha Shrine for the first time in probably 15 years, I searched the internet. I was immediately drawn to this store when I saw it had the appearance of a long-established store. For my first meal, I had the most popular Gomoku Yakisoba (medium) with chilled tomato as a chaser. As expected, it had an authentic taste and I finished it all in one go. To be honest, it's totally okay to have a large portion. It was delicious. The Western tourist couple who came to the restaurant with their guide had a great time. The guide understands.
