Fujinomiya, Shizuoka, Japan｜Matsuya (Fujinomiya)

Fresh and affordable

This is the only Matsuya in Fujinomiya City. Since it is located at the entrance to the mountain trail and along the bypass, it seems that there are many customers from both local and outside prefectures. I stopped by because they are currently holding Girohan at the Taiwan Fair. The taste was a little different than I expected, but I think it's localized for Japan. No matter when I go, the service is fast and the store is kept fairly clean.

It seems that they employ quite a few foreign staff. Takeout is often used. I don't go there anymore because other gyudon restaurants in my area change the amount of toppings depending on the person, or because each time I buy it (maybe different people?) the amount I get when I buy it is different from when I order it. Now I always go here for takeout. The amount also seems to be fairly constant. I've never ordered something and been disappointed because there wasn't enough toppings. You can buy with confidence here. Please note that eat-in is self-service. If you are heading towards Asagiri, you can enter the store along the road. If you are heading towards Fuji, turn at the intersection and enter the parking lot.
