Tamba, Hyogo, Japan｜Forest Door Shigura

I went there when the Sakura Workshop was being held as a spring break limited event. For ¥300 each, I was able to draw pictures on cherry blossom branch slices and cypress balls with a pen (^^) At the entrance of the Wood Toy Museum, I was looking inside. The person at the facility showed us around and said, ``You can have a look inside to see if your child can play there.'' There are so many wooden toys that it's amazing! ! I can't help but fall in love with this (lol) The children (1 year and 9 months old) had fun rolling the marbles and riding on the rocking chair, and the adults were even more enthusiastic! (There are marbles, so be careful with older children who tend to put things in their mouths.) I think it's a facility that can be enjoyed by a wide range of generations, from 1-year-olds to adults. In addition to the paid area, there are also wooden toys for sale. It would be great as a baby gift or gift☆ I was also grateful that there was a nursing room and diaper changing table. I felt the warmth of the wood, thank you very much.

This facility is located in Aogaki, Tamba City, and is a renovated Kagura Elementary School. With the concept of "forest information dissemination base", this is an abandoned school facility refurbished with plenty of timber from Hyogo Prefecture. There is also a restaurant, an accommodation co-working space with a restaurant and a sauna, and a tree sales shop. Old photos showing the history of Kagura Elementary School are also worth seeing.

I visited with my child on a weekday. Since it was a weekday, it wasn't crowded at all, so I was able to fully enjoy myself. Adults can enjoy it too. The number and size of wooden toys are overwhelming.
