Kobe, Hyogo, Japan｜Ichinoya

If we could give this place 6 stars, we would. This place is so clean compared to normal Izakayas! The owner obviously takes pride in his restaurant...and is also cooking everything. What a hidden gem in Kobe! The food is as fresh as it gets. We asked the owner where he gets his fish, and he said he wakes up early each day to go to the famous market just to get the freshes catches of the day. Get here early, because it fills up right at opening often!

I had a sashimi set meal of 800 yen. The sashimi is fresh and delicious as if it were sent directly from the central market. The miso soup was made with ara soup and the soup stock was effective. There are many photos of the submarine launch ceremony in the store. Is it a shop where related parties gather? When I visited again for the first time in a while, it was back in business. I had seasonal fish and it was delicious.

As the name "seafood" suggests, the ingredients are extremely fresh and the prices are quite reasonable. I went there during lunch time (just after they opened), and the restaurant was full in the blink of an eye. Good thing I went early! The store manager and staff are very friendly and the store has a homely atmosphere. I want to come again.
