Kobe, Hyogo, Japan｜Yuge Farm

Everyone respects Kobe beef, but Kobe dairy is just as amazing! This farm is a great place to pay homage to the Kobe cows!!! The staff is very friendly and the host speaks good English. The food is a bit pricey but remember, ITS KOBE DAIRY, so it is also exceptionally good. We had wine and the cheese plate. In my opinion, this place is great for small parties of 2-4 people. They appreciate if you call ahead and let them know you’re coming (especially for same day visits), however I think you could stop if you just wanted to see the cows. The cows are very tall compared to USA cows. The ice cream is amazing (I think summer only).

I think this is a good example of a Japanese Dairy farm... Milk costs 8USD per litre and there's no grass at all anywhere except for the front entrance and there is only instant milk for the tea and coffee in the cafeteria... It's nice in the spring when there are calfs and there are a couple of petting animals. One mangy old sheep and a geriatric goat. Good place for kids, tea and cakes are good.
