It's been about 10 years since I passed the front, so I'm in the middle of the day. Good thing nothing has changed. A set of boar meat bowl and soba. Smellless pork. In winter, you can also eat Botan Nabe. An old fashioned restaurant. Waiting on customers with a lot of amiable smiles 😃 An old folk house restaurant where you can relax very much. It's worth it just to see the splendid building with beams.

On the way to Tanba Sasayama on the prefectural road, I suddenly saw this store. For a pig lover like me, it was an attractive name. It was just around noon, so after consulting with my wife, I decided to make a U-turn. It's a big white shop, and you'll want to enter from the entrance. Inside, there is a large wooden desk and an area with tatami mats. From the menu on the wall, my wife ordered a seasonal chestnut rice set meal. This is filled with chestnuts and comes with simmered black soybeans. On the other hand, I am a boar. When I heard the explanation, I heard that boar rice bowl is egg bound. This is no good. A boar must enjoy the taste of itself. I had boar meat udon. Good! It's not hard, but it has a firm texture and plenty of umami. It was correct. When I left the store, there was a campsite next to it. The entrance fee is only 300 yen. Customers were visiting one after another. A barbecue under the autumn leaves would be nice.

I come here every fall just for the chestnut rice. September 30th was still too early to harvest edamame, and the ban on wild boars had yet to be lifted. Oden menu will be available from next week. Since it was before the high season, there were empty seats in the large Japanese-style restaurant, which made me feel at ease. It was cool and comfortable. As planned, I ordered the chestnut rice set meal for 1000 yen. Comes with a bowl of chestnut rice, mini hot soba noodles (or mini udon noodles), and 3 small bowls. Chestnut rice with a slightly salty taste. The chestnuts were crunchy. The soba soup had a good dashi and was easy to drink. The simmered dishes had home-style seasonings and were very palatable. There was yuzu in the yogurt, which was a nice accent. Although the lingering summer heat was harsh, I was able to enjoy the taste of autumn while driving.
