Tamba-Sasayama, Hyogo, Japan｜Maekawa

A modified historical Japanese house converted into a restaurant. All the dishes were like an eruption of delicious Japanese flavors every bite. The rice was cooked just right with a firm core. The tableware and bowls were very beautiful and pleasing to the eye. The lunch course isn't cheap, but well worth the cost. No reservations needed. We had a private room all to ourselves.

A very nice and hidden gem in Sasayama. I went here for lunch in 2019 Aug, enjoyed a nice and healthy meal here!!!

A fusion between contemporary and traditional cuisine, every dish is surprising, satisfying and beautifully presented. The young talented chef studied in Kyoto but likes to use local ingredients. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would like to go again if we have the chance!
