Amazing restaurant. Super friendly staff (not sure if it's a family run restaurant) located in a residential home. Pleasant dining area that is well lit, roomy, and welcoming. Very nice tableware and decor. The food was top notch and they also offer soba noodles and dashi stock to buy to take away or for gifts.

A soba restaurant in a residential area🥢 The shop was clean and had a good atmosphere ☺️ I went in the afternoon on a weekday, so I was able to get in right away without lining up. It might be a lot on the weekend! There is Otou Shrine nearby, and there is Imose Falls, so it's a nice place, so I think it's a good place to stop by.⛩

Hatsukaichi is a well-known soba restaurant that was selected as a Michelin Bib Gourmand, located a little further west from Miyajimaguchi. Entered the store around 14:30 on weekdays. The main shops close lunch at 14:00, so it is very helpful. When I asked the shop staff, they basically closed at 14:00, but if there were customers coming, they would extend the business hours until 15:00, so if possible, I recommend entering the shop before 14:00. It is a branch of the Okina Daruma Group led by master soba noodle master Takahashi Meijin. You can enjoy chewy and flavorful soba in a style that uses part of a detached house as a shop. It was cold that day, so we had warm soba. I also ordered duck nanban because the duck is also used by Mr. Kyoto's house. There are 4 pieces of meat that are slightly red in the middle and the sweetness of the duck remains. It was a good dish. The soup stock was also gentle, and I drank it with a taste that warmed my body and mind. It's located in a residential area, so it's hard to find, but I was able to spend a heart-warming time watching the friendly conversation between the local residents and the couple who run the shop.
