The Bamboo Festival that couldn't be held due to the coronavirus pandemic when you came? The area around the Takehara Preservation District was crowded as it seemed that a festival was being held. I bought some rice mixed with bamboo because it was sold at a street stall! I don't know what to say, but when I put it in my mouth, I like the faint bamboo-like aroma it gives off. Even though I had eaten a while ago, I ended up having more food (lol) This time it was a street stall, but there is a restaurant inside the roadside station. Of course the rice was delicious. Next time I will go to the restaurant Tabe.

I kept wanting to eat Takehara's specialty fish rice, so I made a reservation knowing that if I made a reservation two days in advance, I could have it at the roadside station Takehara.

You can enjoy rare and fresh items such as Takehara's famous Togeshita beef and local seafood at reasonable prices. Since it's inside a roadside station, you can also look forward to buying local vegetables, fruits (now grapes, etc.), and Takehara sake from the souvenir shop right in front.
