Inuyama, Aichi, Japan｜Unakyu

A hidden gem in Inuyama. Every other restaurant on the main shopping street was full and luckily this wasn’t. A different way of cooking unagi where there’s less sauce on the unagi itself, giving it a more crunchy texture.

This is one of the traditional Japanese Unagi (freshwater eel) restaurants in the Inuyama area. I loved that the eel's skin was crispy in western style. I highly recommend this restaurant. The photo is Tokujo, two eels, and regular-sized rice.

Inuyama is a clean charming city with lots small shops and the medieval castle is stunningly historical. It was a perfect day!!
