I stopped by while traveling from Kakamigahara to Inuyama on my trip to Gifu. I chose this restaurant out of several eel restaurants after reading the reviews, and it was a great choice. I had the Hitsumabushi rice bowl, and it was the best tasting eel I've ever had. It was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and had a great aroma and taste. This is a store that I definitely recommend.

A long-established store that has been around for decades, when there weren't many eel restaurants like there are now. A shop that anyone in our region who is interested in eel knows. I have been coming here many times since I was a child. It is about 600 yen cheaper than a general eel specialty store. Whether it's eel bowl or hitsumabushi, if you ask for the top, it seems that you will use one whole. The characteristic is attacking the last minute to burn, and the aroma is also seasoned. It's different and delicious. When there are many customers and it's crowded, there are times when the eel comes a little over the limit lol Also, I noticed this time, so I don't know from before, but it was the type that pulled the sansho with a mill. Natural sansho is completely different from common powdered sansho, so there are different tastes. It may be better to grind a little in the palm of your hand and taste it before pouring it over the eel. When I asked what I would like to eat for my father-in-law's discharge from the hospital today, I was nominated for Unakami, so everyone was able to do it. I will come again because my father-in-law was happy. ※※※ ※※※ ※※※ 2023.7.30 I visited for the first time in half a year because my father-in-law nominated Unagami on the Midsummer Day of the Ox. I knew it would be crowded due to the midsummer day of the ox, so I lined up first before 10:00. My father-in-law is old enough to use a cane, so I can't bend my legs in the raised tatami seats, so I want to go early and secure a table seat. I had a meeting with my wife to bring my father-in-law when the store opened, but the opening time was 20 minutes earlier, probably because there was a long line. The store clerk told me to enter the store after everyone was there (which is understandable). At least I wanted you to listen to the conversation about the table seats when the store opened. After that, the front of the store was crowded with customers who came to the store when it opened at 11:00. It seems that the opening will be early, so I think it would be good if you could come a little earlier. The seats were almost filled just by waiting for the store to open, so even if you come at 11:00, you will have to wait for the second turn. I was told that phone reservations are not accepted on the day of the midsummer day of the ox, but it seems that reservations can actually be made. A family member who came later was sitting in a seat with a reserved seat tag. I think there is a way to make a reservation on the HP. The eel was soft in skin and body, and it seemed to be grilled to speed up the rotation with the ox specifications. I don't know if it's a good thing, but thanks to that, the service is going well, and I think I can eat it relatively quickly even if I come at 11 o'clock and line up. I try to choose a menu that uses one eel at any eel restaurant. It was good that the amount of eel was written in the menu. It's usually written like upper, average or shochikubai. I don't know which one is the eel unless I ask the store clerk.

I've heard from many people that it's delicious, so I stopped by on a weekday afternoon. I ordered a large serving of rice on top of the Unaju set meal. It's a great value for less than 4,000 yen including carp arai, liver soup, and wild vegetables. Since I ate carp once when I was a child, I haven't had a chance to eat it until I became an adult. i don't care The eel is also crispy and fluffy. I was very satisfied because even an adult would be full if I made a large serving of rice.
