I had a revised soba lunch at Soba-O Hyakusaisho, a soba restaurant located in an old private house in the countryside near the border with Gifu Prefecture in the Asahi district of Toyota City. The owner is also a friendly person who is very particular about his soba noodles. A set of soba, soba croquette, potato mochi, obanzai, miso dengaku, and gomoku rice is a great value for 1,200 yen. There are only a few shops in Aichi Prefecture that hand-grind buckwheat seeds in a stone mill to turn them into buckwheat flour, which is rare even in Japan. It is through careful work that the original scent of buckwheat comes out. It is unique to soba, and soba is made by grinding the whole husk. This is soba that combines the elegance of No. 2 flour with the aroma, color, and nutrition of No. 3 flour. If you want to eat such soba at a reasonable price, you can find it at a famous restaurant where soba lovers gather, and it will close as soon as the limited number of 30 servings runs out. The soba noodles were chewy and had a nice aroma, and the soba croquettes and assorted seasonal tempura (the apple tempura was also sweet and delicious). The free gomoku rice and miso konnyaku were also delicious. Parking is available in front of the store and along the prefectural road below. This is one of the soba restaurants I recommend.

A friendly uncle was chatting with young men with funny talk. The shop has a handmade feeling. The parking lot is for one car along the road and at the top, and it feels full when five cars stop. Apparently there are 30 meals a day, so it might be a good idea to come early. For lunch, you can eat appetizers, tempura, miso rice and miso dengaku on your own. Soba-yu is also self-serve.

It opens at 10:30 and only serves 30 meals, so it might be difficult to find a place to eat at just the right time. Arrived around 10:30 after making breakfast. There are only 8 seats at the counter, but 6 seats were already occupied. We visited as a group of two, but there were only seats separated, so we thought we would wait, but it's fine if we stay apart! said the shopkeeper. In the end, we were seated with two people in between us. It was a bit strangely comfortable (bitter smile) All the dishes were delicious without any complaints. Extra appetizers too? The miso konjac and seasoned rice are also delicious. Some people wrote in this review that they can eat all-you-can-eat konnyaku and cooked rice, but you can only eat up to 2 pieces of konnyaku per person! Definitely. The menu and prices seem to change from time to time, so it's a good idea to check the latest information (Facebook). I think 1,200 yen for a dish like this is quite good value for money, but I don't think it's suitable for children because it's 9.50% soba and is chewy. Is that in vegetable tempura? There is also a taste, what is it? When I looked into the kitchen, I saw an apple (^^;; I ate it thinking that if I didn't eat here, I might never see it again. Even though I had less cooked rice and one piece of konjac, I was so full that the drive home was a pain. I would be happy if there was a set without tempura. When I left the store after 11 o'clock, there were still about 20 meals left. For your reference.
