Ena, Gifu, Japan｜庵

I was lured into visiting by the mysterious dish called Taisho Katsudon. I was wondering what kind of dish it was, but it turned out to be a katsudon with hayashi rice sauce. At first glance, it looks like a mismatched combination, but the taste wasn't that bad, and it was actually delicious (^^) It's also great that it comes with miso soup and pickles!

I stopped by for lunch when I visited Taisho Village for sightseeing. I chose Ena Hayashi Hayashi Rice and Taisho Katsudon after worrying about it until the end. This one uses demi-glace sauce instead of the typical katsudon that is bound with an egg. It was a cutlet bowl that looked heavy but was completely crispy. I definitely want to go to Ena Hayashi next time.

Katsudon that can only be eaten here. It's a katsudon that doesn't have any unpleasant taste and doesn't leave a big impression on your stomach. Maybe for adults. The miso soup instantly soaks up the flavor when you slurp it, making it a great supporting character.
