Higashishirakawa, Gifu, Japan｜お食事処 茶の里野菜村

My husband and I stopped by on a Saturday, between late summer heat and early fall. It was around 10:50, and there weren't many customers yet. The inside of the store is clean and has a casual atmosphere, and the staff are really elderly (old ladies) who make you feel at home. I ordered the 3-meal chirashi sushi set meal and Kei-chan set meal, which are limited to Torima. My wife said the chirashi sushi was well-balanced and delicious. Kei-chan's set meal doesn't pack a punch, but it has a strong miso flavor that goes perfectly with white rice. Kei-chan was so satisfied with the volume that she thought it would be impossible to balance it with the white rice. There is a large Kei-chan option, but I think it would be too spicy without another bowl of white rice. Miso soup, potato salad, takuan... everything is delicious. Is this your grandmother's homemade taste? I received it when I was a little hungry, so the one star is an additional boost. No complaints.

The atmosphere was nice and everything tasted like home made food. I want to drink that miso soup again ^_^

＃Repeat available Lunch time was already over, but when I was looking in from outside, a staff member approached me and I was able to eat my bento inside. The potato salad and the boiled eggplant and peppers were especially delicious. I would love to eat there again if I'm in the area! !
