Mizunami, Gifu, Japan｜Byobuyama

A restaurant with a local and Showa retro feel recommended to me by a senior who lives in Toki City. Koro udon (chilled udon) from Tajimi and miso stew udon from the Owari Onan region are both of high quality. delicious. When I entered the restaurant around 11:40, there were only two or three groups of customers ahead of me, but by the time 12:00 rolled around, the place was full in an instant. (´･ω･｀)ゞ I had heard from my seniors that it was a good store, but I was surprised to see that it was more prosperous than I expected. It seems they are also accepting takeout. There are also some deep-fried foods and a la carte dishes that go well with alcohol, so if you visit in the evening, you might be able to find those as well. The parking lot is spacious. The store's name seems to be based on the nearby mountain Mt. Byobu. For lunch, as mentioned earlier, we recommend arriving before 12:00.

I had lunch there for the first time in years. It was still hot, so I ate tempura koro soba and my wife ate tempura korodon. It was quite voluminous and delicious. I would like to try curry udon or miso stew udon in the coming season.
