Nakatsugawa, Gifu, Japan｜Sugimura

I stopped by in the late afternoon on my day off after camping in Nagiso. It was a very delicious soba restaurant as many other people have said. First of all, before entering the shop, the person who greeted me was apparently the famous Nyanko-san in this shop. I felt that the price was cheap among full-fledged soba restaurants. I ordered a large serving of zaru soba, but I ate it lightly, so I think it would be perfect if the amount was added. The garnished simmered pumpkin, miso tofu, and pickles were also really delicious. It was a shop I wanted to introduce to my acquaintances when I was nearby.

The landmark in front of the store is the Fagaceae Aracac. In autumn, acorns grow. This is a small, family-run shop. There is a cute "poster girl" (ΦωΦ)🐱 on the bench in front of the store. (He's very familiar with people, and he doesn't go anywhere and stays in his cage all the time. He doesn't mind if you let him out 😽) Inside the restaurant, there are about five table seats and three raised seats. I ate zaru soba, and the noodles were firm and had a strong soba flavor. It was delicious. There are only about three soba restaurants near Nakatsugawa Station, and they are all packed on Saturdays and Sundays.

2022.07.31 It was by far the most delicious juwari soba I've ever eaten! I can’t believe there is a restaurant in Nakatsugawa where you can eat such delicious soba noodles. I didn't know about it until now, and I'm definitely going to eat here for lunch in the future. When I asked, was it a couple? It's managed by the two of you. The store has a quiet atmosphere. It appeared that small children were not allowed to enter the store. Indeed, I think they have created a space where you can really concentrate on the soba and enjoy it deliciously. Also served with miso chilled tofu and cucumber pickles. It’s truly exquisite. When it comes to pickled cucumbers, I even ask my wife about the seasoning. (It seems to be based on Shinshu miso and koji) The menu is small, but It feels like there are only really delicious menu items to eat during the summer. I ordered a large serving, but if you like soba, a large serving might be just right for you.
