Otari, Nagano, Japan｜NAGANO

My husband and I came to Japan from Australia for our honeymoon celebration and booked Restaurant Nagano's 10 course dinner. To say it was the best meal, service and atmosphere of our lives would be a huge understatement. We loved everything from the moment we stepped out or the taxi. We came early and were treated to a tour of the 140 year old building, seeing how they dried ingredients and the roof structure. We were then welcomed with warm tea around hot coals before being shown to our seats. The table had blankets if you were cold and warm towels for your hands. The 10 course meal was spread out with perfect timing, our glasses were never empty as the staff were always refilling before you even had to ask. The food was all delicious, gorgeously presented and we received excellent descriptions of the dish and how best to eat it. Our favourite was the wagyu beef, which melted in your mouth like butter and had a beautiful edable flower garnish. We highly recommend this restaurant and can't thank the staff enough for their hospitality and professionalism. You MUST go to this restaurant.

We recently dined at this Japanese fusion gem in Nagano, and it exceeded all expectations. The blend of traditional flavors with a modern twist creates an exquisite culinary experience. Each dish showcased impeccable craftsmanship. The ambiance was delightful, and the staff's attentive service added to the overall enjoyment. We couldn’t have enjoyed ourselves more. Even the smaller details of driving us back into town after lunch

This is by far the most beautiful dining experience I have had in Nagano! Such unique building and the food was amazing too! I can’t wait to try their dinner!
