Myoko, Niigata, Japan｜手打ちそば 芭蕉苑

The management has changed, and instead of the all-you-can-eat soba restaurant that it used to be, it has become a cafe where you can also eat stylish soba noodles. For coffee and ice cream, you had to go out, order it, and have it brought to you.

I visited on a weekday during the rainy season. Unfortunately, due to the weather, I couldn't see any clouds over Mt. Myoko, but I'll share that view next time. This soba restaurant is a type of restaurant that does not exist in Nagano Prefecture. All-you-can-eat soba is appealing. Moreover, you can eat as much as you want including tempura. It was a great place to dine in a great location overlooking Mt. Myoko over Newt Pond.

Since it was an all-you-can-eat option, I wasn't expecting much from the taste, but both the soba and udon noodles were chewy and delicious. There are tempura, curry and rice, and several side dishes, and I am grateful that there is no time limit. There was also a footbath outside, and I was able to enjoy walking around Imori Pond as it was.
