As a foreigner, this meal experience was simply surreal. When my friend said he'd bring me to eat Soba, I did not realise it would be this deep into the mountains. Secondly, I did not expect a queue outside this restaurant in the middle of nowhere. The atmosphere is magical with the kerosene lamps and traditional tables. Slight scent of kerosene and charcoal fills the restaurant. The dipping soup requires us to crush sesame and walnuts before adding miso paste and finally the cold dipping soup. It tastes amazing! I also recommend the vegetable tempura and the fried tofu.

The most delicious soba and tempura!!

We arrived 20 minutes before opening and there were about 5 groups in front of us. Don't be afraid to enter the store and tell them your name. Enjoy hand-made soba noodles in an old folk house with the atmosphere of oil lamps. Making walnut sauce requires a lot of effort and physical strength, but it's so delicious that it pays off. The peeled "firefly green" is served with soba soup◎ Walnut sauce△ ``Fukasato Fukasato'' with skin is served with soba soup○ walnut sauce◎ Grilled eggplant is served with ginger soy sauce, but walnut sauce also goes really well.
