Myoko, Niigata, Japan｜Sushi Yoshi

This is a kind of sushi shop that I want it to be hidden, but totally recommend! If you have a chance to visit Myoko, you should not miss it! The high class sushi with superior Koshihikari rice, traditional Japanese atmosphere, the chef and staff are very nice. The price is very reasonable, the lunch set is 800 yen!

Delicious! We don’t speak Japanese so translated that we liked certain types of fish and wanted an assortment within a certain budget. The chef and servers were very friendly and prepared a number of delicious courses. We particularly loved the fried blowfish and an egg seafood custard - both dishes we would not have thought to order in our own. Recommend!!

After 3 years living in Japan, this is the absolute best place for true Japanese food and atmosphere. The restaurant is quite small and if you decide to sit at the counter, you're sure to meet with locals who are always happy to chat and curious to learn about other culture. You can also get a private room and eat just with your group. The food is simply amazing and the staff is super friendly. Their english isn't fluent but they're super patient and they'll take the time to make sure they've understood. Best food, true japanese atmosphere, super decent pricing, don't miss it!
