Mitsuke, Niigata, Japan｜和モダン Bistro Calme

I used it for lunch with my mom while returning home. The building blends in with its surroundings in a residential area just one block from the street. Up to 3 cars can be parked in front of the store. When I entered the restaurant, I felt that the Japanese taste was stronger than that of a bistro. So it's Japanese modern? I ordered the Furano pork roast from the lunch menu. Let's start with salad and appetizers. Each of these appetizers is elaborately prepared, and expectations are high for the main course, such as fagra, chicken ham, and potato mille-feuille. The main pork was tender, and the truffle salt made it refreshing without any greasy taste. The warm vegetables that come with it include onions, turnips, kogomi, and sweet potatoes. I was surprised that this cost 1500 yen. The ice cubes in the drinks are the same round ice cubes you see with whiskey, why? When I thought about it, it started to melt and the drink became like sherbet! (Orange juice turns into sorbet, but iced coffee doesn't turn into sorbet.) I didn't drink alcohol since it was lunch, but they have a wide selection of wines, and they also have a good selection of wines by the glass. I would love to come at night too!

Visited for the first time after being recommended by a friend. I had sautéed veal for an additional 500 yen on the 1,700 yen lunch course. The appetizer mini soup is delicious ❗️ It also comes with foie gras and is a great value. The veal is perfectly grilled and the best❗️The bread is also very particular about it, so I'm glad I got to know this wonderful restaurant. Definitely a repeat!

This is a stylish restaurant where the chef of P's in Nagaoka serves delicious dishes made with carefully selected meat, fish, and vegetables. There is a private room that can be entered from the tea room-style entrance, a counter, table seats, and an open space in the back that can accommodate about 10 people. It's not cheap at all, but I'm satisfied with the cost performance because I can get the real thing.
