Higashiyamato, Tokyo, Japan｜Kisoji

This is a chain but they all are consistently great in terms of service and quality of food. The restaurant specializes in shabu shabu so I've never had anything else, but it's well worth a trip to any of the many locations. Easy for tourists as well, and it's all booths so you always have room. Fairly kid friendly so far as that goes in Japan. I doubt many tourists will visit this particular location as it is not easily accessible by train, but if you ever find yourself in the area and want consistently good food, this is the place. You'll pay for it, though. Worth it!
