You don’t expect such a great Restaurant in the basement of an office building at Aoyama Metro Station. Cooles Ambiente upper NY Stile, though casual. Excellent food, Fusion with a high cuisine touch. Meat or vegan, everything was delicious and freshly prepared. French Bread…mhhh😋The pasta amatriciana was perfectly „ al dente“, with fresh tomatoes-authentic taste like in Rome! Lovely VERY friendly staff. Arrigato

The Burn in the Aoyama area has been on my bucket list since it first opened about two years ago so I knew I had to try it as soon as I arrived in Tokyo. The chef and owner of the restaurant is Chef Fumio Yonezawa, who is a former chef at Michelin star restaurant Jean-Georges in New York and Jean-Georges in Tokyo. Since we got to Tokyo during the COVID State of Emergency, we only did takeout, but we loved everything about this restaurant from the chic and modern interior design to the food and service. We got the cheddar beef bowl (we highly recommend adding a sunny side up egg to it) and the steak bowl on our first visit and loved both. The steak is simple yet flavorful while the cheddar beef bowl is almost like a combination between a chili bowl and sukiyaki beef. Once in a while they have the wagyu hamburger steak for takeout, but they only have 30 orders and it usually sells out within 30 minutes. We were lucky enough to get a set this past weekend and would definitely want to order it again the next time we can place an order of it. Each set comes with two patties and pasta. The chef recommends that you eat about half of the hamburger steak as is and then break it into pieces to make it into a bolognese pasta at the end. The restaurant is inside the basement of the Aoyama Building and is a little hard to find if you’re coming from street level so I recommend going from the exit inside the Aoyama Itchome Station.

One of the best food experience in Japan. We took the Burn course, was very very tasty.
