Absolutely Brilliant. They're a smaller building but the food is incredible and both the staff are lovely. I speak very little Japanese but with their help and a bit of Google translate I got a plate of tonkatsu, a bowl of rice miso soup and sides of cabbage and tofu along with a pint for ¥1700 (about £10.50)

Amazingly good, crispy crust with the pork delicately done. I love these small "mom and pop" shops altogether but this one is particularly good. The fry oil is hot and fresh making it's own contribution to the deliciousness of the dishes. You can also order shrimp and a few seasonal dishes (like fried oysters). Plentiful, affordable, clean, friendly. Great place for lunch or dinner. Just down the road from Mizumoto Park.

I ordered a mixed fry set meal for 1,450 yen. It was hearty and satisfying. The fries were a little dry. I thought it would be more satisfying if it were a little crispier. Miso soup was very delicious. It was a nice shop where you could tell that the owner had a nice personality.
