Delightful customer service, even though we came as they were closing. They kindly made up some takeaway boxes that were delicious for us, and offered us excellent chocolate scones for our two girls. Gorgeous interior, very classy but also pretty and they sell lots of their own products. Will come back as soon as we can.

Superb restaurant in a local town relatively unknown to tourists. It is located in a small alleyway so you may miss the entrance at first. I lined up for around 30min at lunch. It was quiet and cool under the tree shades so it was fine. You may also write down your name and mobile on a given paper, they will call you when a seat is available. It is a small shop with approx less than 20 seats. But you won't feel tight and crowded. I believe the house was an old building and slightly renovated. There was a wooden board saying 日本舞道稽古所 which means Japanese dancing school. Definitely sensed a bit of vintage atmosphere (in a good way). They even have a small bakery with bread and cake for breakfast and tea time. They serve a variety of lunch sets. One thing to note is that they also described which part of Japan those ingredients are sourced from. This shows how detailed the shop is towards their food. I ordered their weekly special 竜田揚げ which is a deep fried fish with tomato and vinegar sauce. Also upgraded my rice to a special one with pork and vegetables. They tasted great. You can feel that each ingredient has their own taste and not because of MSGs. It blended into the atmosphere really well. I rarely give an all 5 star. However this shop is really outstanding. The smiling faces from other customers further justifies my view. 👍

Amazing food located in an alley of Yanaka Ginza. Set meal was ¥1500 with generous portions, ranging from horse mackerel to chicken cutlet. Service staff was attentive and atmosphere was homely.
