Minoh, Osaka, Japan｜Kamizono

What can I say about this place: it was a gem of a restaurant with the friendliest people! We arrived here around 3:30 pm and they were still open for lunch, while they were preparing tons of bento boxes (so people must love the food here!). I’m a vegetarian and the lady was so nice and adapted the lunch to suit my needs, and even asked specifically about a few dishes to see if I ate them. And the food itself was so tasty! Probably all vegan! Great portion, perfect flavors, and the people there just made it worth it!

This restaurant is a real treat and located close to Minoo station. The chef is incredible and mixes Japanese and French flavors. There are appetizer size and main dishes. eryngii mushrooms with cheese and sesame tofu, butter cooked scallops, fried shrimp, delicate sashimi, abalone, and kaki (oysters). I highly recommend the 3500 set menu to enjoy all of the chef's flavors. Pair your dinner with nice o-sake.

Went for a late lunch at 3pm on a wednesday and it was lovely! There was an english menu book of the set menus for lunch, of which there was 8 options, and we got the chefs special and oyster sets. The food was amazing! The prices ranged from approx 1500 yen to 2500 yen for the set menus and we were very full after a hike up to minoh waterfall. The prices seemed very reasonable for the experience we got. Also we were asked about a nut gyoza coming in case of allergy which was great! A lovely experience despite limited japanese and really recommend the sashimi and oysters
