Hakone, Kanagawa, Japan｜Cafe Restaurant Shunsai

Lovely Japanese restaurant with amazing views of the surrounding hills. An ideal venue for lunch if you have travelled from Lake Ashi (Togendai Station) on the ropeway to Owakudani - take a second ropeway to Sounzan Station and then the little Hakone-Tozan (funicular) railway which stops right outside the restaurant.

The croquettes were delicious, and the view from the cafe is really great! I really enjoyed eating here when I visited Japan.

The staff is so kind and greets you with a smile. And I ordered a tonkatsu set? The fries were crispy and the composition was good. The atmosphere was mostly secluded and country-like, so I felt healed. I like the scenery too! Most of all, I liked the fact that I felt like I was being treated during a happy trip, so I could leave it as a good memory. I highly recommend it.
