I think this store already existed when I was in high school, so I think it has been open for over 20 years. At that time, when I ate in front of Tokai University, I always had two choices: curry from the now-defunct Stand Ten, or beef taro. Gyutaro still attracts me because of its hearty and reasonably priced menu, which is typical of a student town, such as curry, beef bowl, side dishes, and katsudon. On this day as well, I chose a pairing of hearty chicken cutlet curry and beef bowl. It probably won't be like it was when I was younger, but I'll be able to eat it in one go. Now that Staten is gone, my only choice is Gyutaro.

Very good restaurant, probably the best tonkatsu I've eaten so far, the decor of this restaurant looks like a throwback to the Showa era, which I love. The marinated vegetables are wonderful too 😍

Cheap, fast, and delicious! Set meals cost 800-1000 yen, are hearty, delicious, and good value for money! Recommended at a price that is friendly to university students!
