It was my first time visiting Hamakko. It is a relatively easy restaurant to visit as it is open for lunch until 3pm. After all, it is a restaurant with strong roots in the local area, and local wives and grandfathers were happily eating lunch there. I ordered the tonkatsu set meal for lunch, and the 130g portion was quite generous, so I was full, including the free rice refills. The bonito is well-cooked and not rare, but the meat has a strong flavor. The cabbage comes with homemade dressing and has a delicious onion flavor. Also, the pork soup is delicious and makes the meal more enjoyable. People living in the Hongodai neighborhood will feel happy if they have this restaurant and can gather together for a quick lunch. In any case, this is a wonderful tonkatsu restaurant that is closely connected to the local area.

I went there for the first time. I ordered a lunch set meal, but it was just the right amount and I was very satisfied. The meat was juicy, but it wasn't greasy and I ate it quickly. The miso soup was also delicious with the soup stock. It was crowded, but the food came out in no time and I definitely want to go again!
