I had been having stomach issues the day before and was a little worried about whether I would be able to eat Italian food, but it was delicious until the end! I should have used a lot of oil, but for some reason I couldn't stomach it. The fatty pork was also delicious and not greasy. Maybe it's just the right amount of spooning or the grilling. I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, but it was so delicious that I would like to go there again.

There are about 10 Italian restaurants around Zushi Station. It's a competitive area with a mix of old and new in a small area, and there are many small shops run by owner-chefs, and everyone is working hard at a high level. A Tavora, run by a married couple, opened in 2008. Would you say it's mid-level? Located at the end of the road, the bright interior with light music plays only 16 seats, so it doesn't feel small. For the main lunch course, I ordered beef cheek stew in red wine and Fujisawa pork in red wine sauce. We incorporate local Kanagawa vegetables, meat, and fish into our dishes according to the season. I think the flavor that characterizes A Tavora is the secret ingredient of anchovies, which are salted anchovies soaked in olive oil. Since it's a fish, it probably fits the DNA of the Japanese people even more. This is an authentic local Italian restaurant that you should cherish.

The best Italian in Zushi. The owner-chef Mr. Yamazaki's cooking, his wife's service and wine advice, everything is appropriate and very pleasant. No matter when you ask, the ingredients are carefully selected and prepared with a cooking method that makes you feel the season, and it is a feast for both the eyes and the palate. In the past few years, the number of small restaurants in Zushi has increased considerably, but I have to say that this is still No. 1. This year will surely be the 10th anniversary of the opening.
