Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan｜Hitotsu

I first heard of Hitotsu from a popular IRL Japanese streamer who's sister is the chef of this restaurant, and the chef's husband is also a chef and owner of this restaurant, so I had to take a trip to Totsuka in Yokohama and try their French cusine. I went for the most expensive lunch set that they had and it did not dissapoint, all dishes were elegant, beautifully presented and taste really delicious, especially the first two appetisers: an aubergine, conger and cheese monaka and the second a vegtable parfait with a sweet jelly at these were the most stand out and amazing dishes as I have never taated anything like this. The staff have been excellent and friendly and it was nice to meet the chefs and speak to them. Definitely recommended and worth experiencing French cuisine with ingredients and a soul touch from Japan.

I was surprised that there was such a wonderful shop in Totsuka. It has a simple glass facade with no conspicuous signboard, and the interior of the store is stylish with a natural style. The healthy French course with plenty of carefully selected local vegetables was not persistent and had a refreshing after-meal feeling. Both the owner and the staff were very warm and polite.

I was especially impressed with the vegetable parfait, which is a characteristic of this restaurant. The beauty of the food on the plate is also amazing. Feels like a hearty meal I heard that the course content changes every month, so I would definitely like to come again. The exterior is a stylish space with black tones that makes you think it was originally a beauty salon, while the open and natural interior with plants has a French feel but is a bit casual and calming. A restaurant where you can relax in the evening with just a little bit of downlight. I could feel the personality and commitment of the owner and his wife. It was a very cozy restaurant.
