The structure is basically made of wood. The interior is also made with plenty of Japanese cedar and cypress, creating a comfortable space where you can feel the warmth of wood. As soon as you enter, there is a hearth room, and you can sit around it and enjoy your meal. Twelve people can sit together, so it's just the right size for a private party to have a chat. However, since it is a cushion between wooden boards, it is difficult for people with weak backs. Some people would be saved if there was something like a low legless chair. Also, if you sit in the corner, you have to say that the structure is not suitable for preventing virus infection. There is a counter with about 4 seats and a private room for about 4 people. You can get a glimpse of the attention to detail in the fixtures in front of the entrance and the decorations at the entrance. Basically no plastic should be used. The restroom is not only clean, but also elegantly decorated with Japanese-style decorations and amenities. The cuisine is Japanese, with a focus on fish and vegetables from the Hayama area. We are particular about the tableware, and the kaiseki-style dishes with many small bowls for lunch are also beautiful to look at. All of them are seasoned elegantly, and you can feel the commitment of the chef. Customer service is polite. The personality of the head chef creates a calm atmosphere in the restaurant. The parking lot can park 4 cars in front of the store and 3 cars in the second parking lot. The front of the store is quite narrow, so unless you have a small car, we recommend the second parking lot, which is a 5-minute walk up the hill.

I visited in October 2021 after the state of emergency was lifted. Currently, reservations are required, and you must contact us by the day before. Starting at 7:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings, we run a event called ``Mottainai Shokudo'' where we rescue substandard local vegetables and fish and turn them into a fresh, delicious, and slightly luxurious breakfast to eliminate the waste of food.
