Nabari, Mie, Japan｜Sandayu

We were headed to the 48 Waterfalls and needed to find a place to have lunch and discovered Sandayu. We have never had Iga beef before and really enjoyed it. Since our visit to Sandayu, we have tried Iga beef in Osaka and in Kyoto and although Iga is really good and tender, the way the chef prepared our meal with the miso, was truly memorable. We haven't found anything like it! The service was great, the value was great and the ambience the best. Thank you for such a great experience!

A quiet location deep in the mountains, a large parking lot, a nostalgic storefront, the approach from the gate to the entrance, a large lantern hanging from the ceiling, a separate private room, a charcoal grill, everything about it is great. This is a hideaway place for adults that will not disappoint. Recommended Iga beef is delicious
