Chichibu, Saitama, Japan｜Restaurant Wado

I stopped by on my way back from the Holy Shrine. Most of the shops in the area closed around 2pm, so I stopped by this one which was still open a little after 2pm. What I received was a zaru soba set with maitake mushrooms and walnut soup for 1000 yen including tax. I think it's cheap. Tempura is crispy and delicious. The only thing I would like to say is that I would like to drain the oil a little more (it collects at the bottom). And the walnut juice is very delicious. The dipping sauce is creamy and soft when you put it in your mouth. However, the aftertaste is surprisingly refreshing. Personally, it was the most addictive deliciousness I've ever had. It was nice to have both walnut soup and normal dashi soup, so you could enjoy the rich and refreshing taste in a well-balanced manner. I think I want to go again. The soba ice cream was also delicious.

I visited at the beginning of April, and it was still crowded, probably due to the spring break season. I had to wait a little while to be seated, but it was worth the wait because the soba and tempura were delicious, and the prices were reasonable considering it's a tourist spot. My 3-year-old child ordered udon noodles, but the udon noodles were thin and easy for him to eat. The staff was very nice, so I would like to stop by again when I come to Chichibu.
