Hidaka, Saitama, Japan｜Gombei

Visited on March 19, 2023. When my husband and I were watching Udonko TV, we saw an update on [Gonbei] in Minamihirasawa, Hidaka City, Saitama Prefecture, so we watched it feeling nostalgic, but it seemed like Kami didn't remember it, so the story didn't add up😅 I had no choice, so today I visited for the first time in 14-5 years, and Kami-san's first visit!?︎I arrived at opening time, but a regular customer had entered the store, so I took advantage of it and entered the store after 11 o'clock. I ordered the most popular "Meat soup udon (medium/large size)", which is still the most popular dish at the time, and enjoyed the handmade udon made by my grandmother😆She celebrated her 81st birthday the day before yesterday, and although she is in good health, she is still in good health. Please be careful😊

Checked in at Gonbei for the first time in a while. This time, the dipping soup contains well-boiled Japanese butterbur, adding seasonal flavors to the experience, making you realize that summer is approaching. It takes a long time for the noodles to come out, as the old woman manages them all by herself. I'm looking forward to what kind of ingredients will be included in autumn and winter.

When I had time to relax, I enjoyed it with a warm feeling 😊 This is run by an elderly proprietress by herself. I was greeted with a very gentle smile and asked for the popular menu item “Meat soup udon”. The dipping sauce is full of vegetables! Radish, carrot, eggplant, potato, green pepper, lettuce. And plenty of pork! The dipping sauce is delicious, like soup, with the flavor of pork and vegetables 😋 Udon is not too strong, just right. While eating, he asked me many times if I had enough tea. Really, it was a well-known store where you can relax from the bottom of your heart 😄
