Hidaka, Saitama, Japan｜ALISHAN CAFE

I went with my mother after seeing the spider lilies nearby. It was a very pleasant rest in the outdoor eating area after that walk. The staff were very nice and I liked their system for ordering where you get a paper of the menu items and mark how many you want of the ones you want then take it up to the counter. It was very easy to use. The food was tasty and the orange juice was very delicious.

I LOVE THIS PLACE !! It’s a perfect day trip from Tokyo. You can take the train to Koma station, go hike the nearby mountain and come down to have a wonderful healthy vegetarian meal at Alishan Cafe. Honestly, I would call it vegetarian heaven ! The food was amazing. I had the cheese hotdog set, the sausage is vegan and the pumpkin soup was so delicious!! They also have a store that sells so many healthy food products including vegan meat, organic peanut butter, lots of different nuts etc. It’s located next to a river and you can go play in the river after/before eating as well. I saw kids jumping off the bridge into the river (it was pretty shallow). Unfortunately they don’t except credit cards or e-payments yet so be sure to carry a lot of cash ! I wanted to buy some stuff from the store but couldn’t because I didn’t have much cash on me 😭

Delightful vegan restaurant/cafe with ample portions, friendly staff and delicious food (try the burger!). Couldn’t be more perfect as a lunch spot after a Sunday hike of Kinchakuda. Also picked up some organic veggies to take back home. Also the outdoor seating in really nice and chill. Will be coming back!
