Kawagoe, Saitama, Japan｜Torisei

Loved every aspect of this cute local place. The food was extremely aethestic and delicious - we got the cartilage appetizer, kawagoe kamameshi (eel + sweet potato) lunch set, and chicken skin kamameshi lunch set. The vibe of the place felt extremely traditional and serene. We were also seated next to a window where we look out to a peaceful pond.

A private cherry blossom viewing with delicious traditional meal during Sakura season! All of the Japanese booths face the inner courtyard garden where koi fishes swim - so you’re guarenteed a special view. The friendly servers all wear authentic kimonos and the meal set is not only beautifully presented but also flavourful. If you go at 11am, there’s no wait time. Plan your sightseeing before or after this time if you don’t want to wait :)
