This is the legendary kakigoori (shaved ice) shop in Tokigawa machi, Saitama Prefecture. Located under a bridge, but people come from far away just to eat their shaved ice! Waiting in line is a normal things here. Personally I wait in line for about an hour but it was worth it! The matcha special is a must try, but the seasonal fruit also very tempting! The only thing that you need to worry about is the limited place and access. So plan your visit here and you won't regret!

Long line but worth it!

You can choose either pure ice or natural ice for the delicious shaved ice. Natural is plus 300 yen. A short walk from the parking lot will take you down a steep slope, so people with a cane with one hand or wheelchairs will not be able to come. There is a shop under the bridge over the Toki River. The terrace seats are the main seats here, so you can enjoy it with your dog. You can buy ice for dogs for 100 yen. Orders are purchased at the ticket vending machine, handed the ticket, waited on the spot, and after receiving the completion, look for a vacant seat and take a seat. Each piece is handled individually, so even if you come in a group, you won't be able to receive the shaved ice on the tray at once. It seems that one menu takes 3 minutes, so the guide says to receive it from the one you made and start eating in order. It seems that it is not possible to gather everyone's shaved ice and take a picture. Well it will melt. The sweetness generously sprinkled on the fluffy ice is a delicious word. I tried eating and comparing pure ice and natural ice with the same taste, but pure ice is delicious and cold, and natural ice is better for people who don't want to cool down because it has a soft texture. There are various menus, and I want to try them all. Asami Reizo in Nagatoro, which is famous for its long queue competition, is good, but enjoying the coolness in the shade of a tree at a well-known restaurant like this is another summer tradition. Listening to the babbling of the river makes me think that even the intense heat is good. It seems that there is no toilet rental, so I would like to know in advance. There is also a parking lot behind the greenhouse.
