I visited Okinawa Amami Cuisine Kokuryu for lunch on Wednesday, January 18, 2023. I took off my shoes and put them in the shoe rack before going inside. We also disinfected with alcohol at the entrance. The restaurant has counter seats and table seats. Each counter seat was separated by an acrylic board, and the table seats were separated by blinds. It was a cold day, but the store was heated. The customer base was a wide range of men and women of all ages, and the restaurant was busy at lunchtime. Sanshin and Okinawan music were playing inside the store, and the TV was on. When I took a seat at the counter, I was given a towel and cold Sanpin tea. I ate the Okinawa soba set meal from the lunch menu. It was 800 yen including tax. You can choose Okinawa-style cooked rice or mini curry, so I went with Okinawan-style cooked rice. For the drink, I chose seeker juice. It also came with a small side dish, takuan pickles, and a dessert of sata andagi. Ingredients for Okinawa soba include chashu pork, fish paste, bonito flakes, pickled ginger, and green onions. The char siu has plenty of fat and is creamy and delicious, and the red ginger gives it a refreshing taste. The noodles are thick and curly with a smooth surface and a chewy texture that cuts easily when you insert your teeth into them. The soup had a good dashi stock and a comforting taste. The ingredients for Okinawan-style cooked rice are hijiki and carrots, giving the rice a chewy texture and flavor. After the meal, a dessert of satar andagi was served along with seeker juice. Shiku Arthur Juice has a refreshing sour taste that goes well with the moderate sweetness of Satar Andagi. It was reasonable and delicious.

We called on May 8th (Saturday) at 5:00 p.m., when business started, even though it was the end of the holidays, and immediately secured a seat. Take advantage of happy hour and fill up. The photo shows Soki Miso Stew and Mimiga Chanpuru. I regret that I didn't have the tebichi that I liked last time.

You can eat and drink in a relaxing atmosphere in an unpretentious atmosphere.
