Kusatsu, Shiga, Japan｜Ristorante Versare

Nice Italian restaurant in an out of the way place. You will need a car or taxi to get out here. When I walked in, I thought it was a swanky restaurant. Service was impeccable but very little English spoken, no English menu and no photos in menus. I thought I was in for an expensive meal but it cost just over 2000 yen (without alcohol) for a lunch set which gives you a soup, salad, main course, dessert and coffee/tea/espresso. Food was quite good but do not expect Michelin star standards.

It was delicious. Each ingredient has a strong taste. what are you eating? I can understand it clearly! I would like to try other menu items as well. We will go again!

I ordered takeout to have lunch at home with my parents. I ordered a course meal for 2 people, 2 appetizers and 2 main dishes. When I made an inquiry on LINE, I got a very polite phone call and consulted on the menu. Even if the course is for 2 people, there is a volume! And, as you said, even if you eat with 4 adults, you can't eat it all (laughs) My husband and I are eater, but we still left some. Cake is tea time after time. I am very satisfied with my stomach!
