Koka, Shiga, Japan｜GenKI

This is my second visit in a week. Previously, I had white omelet rice with tomato sauce for lunch and was impressed. This time, for dinner, I had mentaiko pasta, caprese, and shrimp mayonnaise. Lastly, I had the fig roll cake that I had always wanted to try. Since I was in Tokyo, I like fresh cream that isn't sweet, so I was looking for one in Shiga Prefecture.I was impressed by the cream and the not-too-soft sponge.I'm going to make a reservation for the Christmas cake.I don't have to go to Tokyo to buy it anymore😃Thank you

I love it and have been here for lunch several times. I eat salad with olive oil and salt, and it's delicious. It goes really well with bitter leafy vegetables, like arugula. The main dish is always omelet rice, but black rice with mixed grains? And the texture is fun. I like the shrimp tomato cream the most! Dessert is definitely an angel egg roll cake. Depending on the timing, I've had the batter be a little dry, but it's generally moist and not heavy, and I keep coming back for it.

Appetizers are around 680-1300 yen, and pasta and pizza are around 1200 yen, so the price range is a little higher than the general store. However, the atmosphere inside the restaurant is calm and modern, and the quality of each dish is higher than the price, so it's perfect for friends or dates (^^)
