Otsu, Shiga, Japan｜Kaiun Soba

The soda and tempura were absolutely delightful! They surpassed all the other ones we've had so far, and the service was top-notch. A truly enjoyable experience!

Found this little gem during a day trip from Kyoto to Lake Biwa. Super good soba and tempura! Restaurant staff don’t speak much English so what worked for us was showing photos from Google Maps. Highly recommend, everything was delicious! Visited at 1230pm during Sakura season. Had to wait a short while as the place is small and sits around 15 people. When we left an hour later it was a lot more crowded, so try to come earlier
