I look forward to eating at Shizenbo Tanaka every month. This month I visited for lunch (5,500 yen). A small shop with 8 counter seats run by a husband and wife team. The store is always clean and feels good. We started without changing lunch or night. The food is brought out all at once and the food is explained in detail. It was great from the first plate. It seems that it was inspired by Tanabata. Pumped yuba and soup stock, classic smoked mackerel with walnut cheese, thick mackerel sushi, dashi rolled egg with plenty of green shiso, etc. Everything was delicious. Also, this time I ordered the ``Kitajima Ginfubuki Direct Drawing''. Next was the white miso bowl with eggplant and morokhiya. White miso goes so well with eggplant and moroheiya! I was surprised. This is one item that I really like. From there, we had sweetfish, conger eel, al dente rice, eggplant and local chicken, Omi beef, freshly cooked rice, rice with egg and chilled soup, charred rice, homemade rare cheesecake, and coffee after the meal. Sweetfish served with Manganji chili pepper sauce. Conger eel is served with conger eel soup stock. Okra, shiitake mushrooms, burdock, corn, and kashiwa. Conger eel soup stock is really delicious... I felt happy. Eggplant and local chicken with sesame sauce and fried sansho leaves on top. The flavor of Japanese pepper was effective. The gentle sweet sesame sauce is refreshing with the Japanese pepper leaves. Omi beef is just so juicy. The sauce goes well with it. From here on, the rice is cooked in a Hagama earthenware pot sold by Shizenbo Tanaka. The rice is just delicious. There are also lots of rice dishes. eat with relish. You can refill it, and you can also choose egg-cooked rice. This time's egg-cooked rice is made with Karafuki and dry soy sauce. delicious. I was told that there would be cold soup today, so I asked for some cold soup, and finally some charred rice. Serve the charred rice with Japanese pepper oil and salt. That's all for the food, and finally dessert. It was homemade rare cheesecake with ome sauce. It wasn't too sweet and was just right ◎ The fact that they serve coffee after the meal at the end is a huge plus for me. 5,500 yen for lunch is not cheap, but I feel like it's a great deal because the food is so carefully prepared and delicious. I'm looking forward to next month's dishes.

There aren't many seats, but that's a good thing❗Each plate is elaborate, seasonal, and delicious😍🎶I ended up having three refills of rice in a clay pot. I'd like to go there for lunch too.

Best cost performance! It's a counter only restaurant, but not only the taste, but also the atmosphere and the smiling faces of the owner and his wife are amazing! The menu changes monthly, so I'm planning on visiting next month as well.
