Omihachiman, Shiga, Japan｜Morishima Omihachiman Honten

We were originally trying to go to a different restaurant; however, it was closed on Wednesday. As a result, we tried this joint instead. They have either Japanese style or Western style of beef preparations. We were thinking of trying Japanese style but ultimately went with French style, a five course meal. Everything was pretty good, and the beef steak was super. I couldn't imagine the texture of beef steak could be that soft. It's almost like I was eating butter. We are eager to try their Japanese option on our next trip to Shiga.

Amazing lunch. We had the private room which was very comfortable. Lunch sets were good value. The stone cook beef is self cook and bit more expensive but amazing quality and probably worth considering to try.

Ordered the set meal with beef sushi, sukiyaki style, self grill steak and a curry beef. Everything was excellent. Surprised to meet the owner, who shared that she had visited the city where I was living and shared her story in the most friendly manner. Worth the drive!
