More Comments at Google MapGreat kaiseki cuisine with local delicacies such as fish caught from Lake Biwa and Ohmi beef. The building and garden are also very impressive.
Used for meals at family memorial services. I was allowed to use the large hall. Kaiseki cuisine has a calming taste and is delicious enough to make you feel at ease. Also, the building and furniture are historic and wonderful, and I think the location is a place to enjoy just as much as the food. We were also shown the room where Emperor Meiji rested, and it was very moving to think that we could have a meal while looking out at the same garden that Emperor Meiji saw. It is said that Emperor Meiji was accompanied by some of the biggest names from the end of the Edo period and the Meiji period, such as Tomomi Iwakura, Shigenobu Okuma, and Tesshu Yamaoka. There was also a calligraphy written by Tesshu Yamaoka on display. It was my first time to take my toddler to a restaurant like this, as it was a private room for only family members, but the staff made a separate lunch for my child and lent me a futon when my child became sleepy. I am truly grateful for your response. The Japanese hospitality was wonderful.
First of all, I was surprised by the taste of the building. As someone who has worked in architectural design for many years, this building has a very interesting history and has been designated as a cultural property. The Japanese garden that can be seen from every room is a well-maintained and atmospheric garden, and we enjoyed traditional Japanese cuisine while enjoying the garden. Beautiful dishes for many elaborate dishes. It's the perfect place to spend time with your loved ones in a private room. It's been a long time since I've had such an elegant time. It's a place you'll definitely want to come back to for the dishes that change every month.
