Takashima, Shiga, Japan｜Hakodate Soba Noodle Shigino

Great little.skiing place, in December only one lift was running, but the food was good and the staff where friendly.

There were no negative points in particular, so I gave it 5 stars. This is a soba restaurant that opens only in winter. The parking lot is right next to the store. There is also a gravel parking lot in the back. The shop itself has a signboard, and it's in a good location, so I think it's easy to find. The inside of the store is wide, and there are 4 seats x 9 tables. Children's chairs are also available, so families with children can enter the store with peace of mind. There is also a washroom. Drinks (tea, water) are self-service. There are large tanks (?) here and there. I entered the store around 14:20. I ordered a warm soba with grated wild vegetables (900 yen), my mother ordered herring soba (900 yen), and my father ordered a limited menu grated soup stock soba (1000 yen). By this time, tempura soba was already gone, and after a while, the limited menu soba was gone. I think it took a while for the food to arrive. About 15 minutes or so. The soba was so delicious! ! ! I don't know what soba tastes like, but it sure is delicious! ! Slippery! I came in and it was chewy...! ! The soup was delicious too! Some people may not be able to drink herring soba because the soup is sweet. 💦 They also sell souvenirs in front of the cash register. I bought soba boro and went home! It was delicious! There is also a Metasequoia tree-lined road nearby, so I would like to stop by when I go again. (winter only)

The place is frequented by Japanese only, there is no menu in English but there are pictures so without speaking, just point to the picture. It's a small, family-run business. The soba noodles are fresh and delicious, and the portions are generous. A place that I absolutely recommend!
